Is my baby abnormally large?

My family and friends are making me feel bad about my babys size :( i was 6pound 5ounces, daddy was smaller than me. Our. Baby was born at 8 pounds! She didn't lose any weight and weighed 10 pounds 11 ounces at 4 weeks. She looks huge to us, or is it just because everyone comments on her size? She's very long too. She's fed, I've heard they grow wicked fast then slow down at 3 months. Any truth to that? My one month old is 1/10th my weight!! It just seems crazy, she's so hard to carry around!
