What type of music is popular in Europe?

I'm just asking because in the last year or so, dubstep has gotten really popular in America (it's such a fad...), but it originated in Europe and it was already popular there years before. So what are popular genres in Europe (in general) right now? And I don't mean what's popular on the Billboard charts or anything, I'm refering to less mainstream music. I'd love to be enlightened!
