What are the bare essentials for a girls purse?

I just got the cutest purse as a gift but the ONLY problem is, it's really small. I'm used to carrying around purses that everyone calls luggage.. And I don't know what to move into it. Help? It's a purse about the size of an iPad.. and about an inch wide. Just the essentials though.
