Does anyone else find it amusing?

WOW. i never knew where piercings originated from until today and now that i think about it, it is amusing as much as it is ironic. I as a youth myself I find extensive use of piercings and seeing so many piercings on one's face and other body parts a tad bit irritating and disgusting. i could never comprehend how one finds it beautifying when all it mostly does is cause pain,infections and irritation to one's body. I mean even i find my earrings vastly annoying at times and wonder how one fathoms getting let alone keeping body piercings.
