Visitation please help. What do i do!?

Just for a little back ground. I am in the process of divorce my husband has been very ruthless during the whole prosess rarely comes to see his daughter is fighting child support and has stuck me with bills that i cannot pay due to my income. Now for the question as i said i filed for child support and my husband decided it was to high and so he left the jeep i bouught for him at my home saying he couldn't pay the jeep and child support so it was one or the other for him. My husband has always let go of his responsibilities this was nothing new to me he also rarely sees his daughter before yesterday it had been three weeks. When he did come yesterday he demanded that he take his daughter when he wants visitations to his home for private visits. Because he rarely comes to see her she doesnt know him she screamed when he came into see her yesterday i told him im not comfortable with him seeing her alone untill he can regularly see her on her turf so that she can get to know him first am i wrong in this and what steps can i take to ensure i dont come out lookin like the bad guy in court because of this im going down on tuesday to get a temporary visitation order so that at least we have a court order thanks for your answers in advance..
